Opened to the public in 2010

Pier 62 magically combines tranquility and action. The stunning Entry Garden was created by New York City’s premier public garden designer, Lynden Miller. The garden’s location at the eastern end of the pier transitions visitors from the businesses of the adjacent roadway and Chelsea Piers to the balance of the public Park pier.

Free Skatepark

West of the garden is the Pier 62 “California-style” Skatepark designed and built by California Skateparks and Site Design Group. The skatepark uses structural foam to create shapes typically sculpted in nature. This one-of-a-kind skatepark is free and open to all levels of skateboarders and rollerbladers.
