Construction & Updates in the Park
Chelsea Waterside Play Area and the basketball courts have reopened on Saturday, February 16.
The esplanade at Morton Street is now open for pedestrian traffic. The landscaped area will remain closed until work has concluded. Intermittent short-term closures of portions of the esplanade may be required while the landscape is restored.
As of October 2018, the popular play area at 51, areas on Pier 45, and the southern area of Pier 84 in Hudson River Park will be closed as we improve safety. Construction is scheduled to be completed by summer 2019. For a list of current and upcoming closures, please go to our Alerts and Advisory page by clicking the button below.
