Playground Committee Giving Tree

The Playground Committee Giving Tree dedication program is designed to inspire and encourage current Playground Committee members and like-minded Park lovers to support Hudson River Park Friends, especially in these challenging and unprecedented times.

We are excited to launch the Playground Committee Giving Tree as a way for you to stay connected and engaged with all the important work the Playground Committee does to support Hudson River Park. With this past year’s BBQ having been canceled, and as we look ahead to our plans for 2021, The Giving Tree is an ongoing celebration of your commitment to the Playground Committee and the Park’s mission of environmental sustainability and stewardship.

Thanks to the generosity of Hudson River Park Friends Board member Justin Sadrian and Warburg Pincus, we are excited to share that there is a $45,000 match for the Giving Tree campaign for gifts made by December 31, 2021 — meaning your support will make an even greater impact if you give before the end of the year.

In recognition of the collective support generated through this effort, Hudson River Park Friends will plant a tree to support the mission of Hudson River Park’s environmental sustainability and stewardship, which is a responsibility we all share. We encourage you to make a gift below and read on to learn more about your impact in HRPK.

A Living Tribute

The Playground Committee’s commitment to the Giving Tree is a living tribute that benefits the current and future generations of Hudson River Park visitors and for all who call it their backyard.

Hudson River Park is already home to an impressive 1,950 trees of more than 50 different species, planted across its four miles and throughout every neighborhood that is touched by the Park. By continuing a nurturing environment for the Park’s horticulture, the Playground Committee will guarantee a vibrant and healthy Park for all children and families now and for years to come.

How to Give

If you are already a member of the Playground Committee, your annual $2,500 membership dues will be applied to a lifetime dedication added to the prominently placed Playground Committee section of the in-Park plaque and included on our website listings.

If you are not yet a Playground Committee member, you will receive a lifetime dedication on the in-Park plaque in recognition as a Supporter of the Giving Tree, along with an invitation to learn more about joining the Playground Committee for a gift of $1,250.

Please make your gift today by selecting one of the options below.

Supporting A Growing, Healthy Park

As advocates for safety in the Park, the Playground Committee is supporting new sanitization stations at Hudson River Park’s playgrounds. Your support helps us with initiatives like this one that help keep our Park and playgrounds safe, green and clean.
