A Letter From The President of the Hudson River Park Trust

November 3

Dear Friends,

All of Hudson River Park is now open, following the horrendous terrorist attack on October 31.  I am proud to be a  New Yorker and am grateful to our Park staff, our Park Enforcement Patrol, NYPD and EMS who bravely and quickly were on the scene, helping the victims.

Our Trustees and staff will continue to ensure that our Park visitors are safe and free to enjoy our beautiful park.   Although we will continue to grow and thrive, we will see temporary barricades all along the bikeway as NYPD addresses the “new normal” that we now live in. A more permanent bollard solution will be designed by State Department of Transportation.  While the effects of the attack will take time to recover from, we continue to serve the public, as we stand strong together.

Our hearts go out to the victims and families during this difficult time.

Thanks to all of you.
