Changing the Course of Waterfront Construction

September 24

As the first park in New York to be built on the water itself, Hudson River Park is at the forefront of urban waterfront park development. Lessons learned from its evolution and maintenance challenges are informing the City government as it begins to address structural needs on the hundreds of miles of New York shoreline it owns.

With an eye toward finding new ways to meet the unique challenges of caring for our waterfront assets, the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) and the Hudson River Park Trust are announcing a new competition – known as Change the Course – that invites proposals for innovative, environmentally friendly, cost-saving solutions for completing marine construction projects in New York City.

Interested parties can learn more about the competition on the Change the Course website.
