Ask a Scientist

HRPK's River Project

Laugh and learn from local STEM experts during Ask a Scientist. This year, we’re teaming up with Nerd Nite and Secret Science Club to offer this special series of informative and entertaining events.

About Ask a Scientist:

This event invites participants to explore a fascinating science topic and engage in a live Q&A session with the experts. Hudson River Park is teaming up with Secret Science Club and Nerd Nite again to offer this special series of informative and entertaining events.

This year, we are excited to be hosting these events at both the Pier 40 Wetlab and the new Pier 57 Discovery Tank. At the start of each Ask a Scientist event, our River Project team will offer all guest a tour of these unique spaces. At the Wetlab, you’ll have the opportunity to tour the Park’s research aquarium that houses fish and other organisms native to our local waterways. During a trip to the Discovery Tank, immerse yourself in the world beneath the surface of the Hudson River through interactive games in this hands-on digital exhibit. Stay tuned for more information about these events including details about our speakers.

Our 25th Anniversary event season is presented by Hudson River Park Friends, the Park’s designated fundraising partner. HRPK Friends is an independent, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the completion, care and enhancement of the Park.

Hudson River Park is not part of NYC Parks, and we rely on private funds for our free programs, maintenance and operations. That means your donations are essential to ensuring our event season remains free for the public. Show your support today.
