Our longest running dance program returns this summer—join us each Thursday night, on Pier 45!

Enjoy socially distant, in-person dancing as a season favorite returns! Sunset Salsa is led by world-renowned performer and instructor Talia Castro-Pozo, celebrated as “The Woman of Salsa” by Latina Magazine and trained in various forms of dance, from Ballroom to Jazz. Whether you’re a novice or an advanced dancer, Talia starts with beginner Salsa lessons before kicking off the night with a sizzling party.

Dancers of all experience levels get to move to the music! As the DJs spin, you can dance along—bring your dancing shoes. Make sure you register early (free registration is required) and follow our social channels for announcements of special guests!

To ensure the safety of all patrons of Hudson River Park during the COVID-19 pandemic, we ask that anyone who is not vaccinated please wear a mask or face covering at Hudson River Park events when not able to maintain a six-foot distance from others.

As part of the entry requirements for dance events with attendee participation in Hudson River Park, as of September 13, 2021, attendees must provide proof of a completed FDA or WHO COVID vaccination to take a class. A complete vaccination means having received a final FDA or WHO vaccination dose at least 14 days before the performance date. Bring your vaccination card (a photo of your card is also acceptable) or use Excelsior Pass Plus (or a New York City equivalent) to streamline your entry into the venue. Please remember to bring your photo ID as well. Thanks for helping keep our free events safe for all to enjoy!
