Join Hudson River Park’s River Project for Riversweep, part of a citywide event hosted by our partners at Riverkeeper. This annual event helps build awareness about the impacts that pollution has on our local waterways. Although the Hudson River’s health has greatly improved over the years, marine debris remains a challenge to water quality. Volunteer with us during this cleanup to help remove plastic pollution from our shoreline, space is limited so sign up today!
Hudson River Park engages with community volunteers to count and categorize marine debris from the Park’s shorelines to build a collective understanding of the impact plastics have on our environment. Additionally, to continue building our Park sustainability initiatives, Hudson River Park launched Park Over Plastic in 2019, a program to reduce single-use plastic park-wide. We can all take action to reduce our plastic footprint for a greener future! Click here to learn more about HRPK’s sustainability efforts.
