Join with Manhattan Youth to unite as a community to honor and celebrate freedom.

On June 19, 1865, enslaved Black Americans in Texas were emancipated and given their freedom—now celebrated as Juneteenth. This meaningful occasion honors the bravery and determination of Black Americans, reminding us of their remarkable journey and allows us to reflect on this important moment, including the history of slavery and the ongoing fight for equality.

On Saturday, June 17, join Manhattan Youth at Pier 25 to unite as a community to honor, and celebrate freedom. Open to all ages, this celebration will include Black-owned local businesses offering delicious food, a variety of handmade goods and products, live music, games for all ages and a raffle! Come dance, play, and celebrate love, happiness and freedom.

In case of inclement weather, this event will be held at the Downtown Community Center. For the most up-to-date information please visit Manhattan Youth’s page.
