Join us for a guided tour of the Pier 26 Tide Deck for a unique river ecology experience!

The design for Hudson River Park’s Pier 26 is inspired by Manhattan’s natural shoreline prior to European colonization in the 17th century. The pier includes a series of ecological communities representing this native landscape, from a woodland forest to the rocky tidal zone and the Hudson River itself.

One of the most unique of these native coastal environments is on the Tide Deck, which is an engineered rocky tidal marsh located on the western end of the pier. The Tide Deck ebbs and floods with our daily tidal cycle and features many interesting habitat enhancements including tide pools.

Join our River Project staff to learn more about this special environment during a guided tour of the Tide Deck. Space is limited, so we encourage you to sign up today. Tours are offered every 30 minutes.
