Shoreline Cleanup

Calling all Park stewards! Join us out in the Park for a special shoreline cleanup event.

We’re excited to bring a new tool to our marine debris cleanup events: The WasteShark. Modeled after the filter-feeding whale shark, the WasteShark is a remote-controlled robot that can remove hard-to-reach plastic pollution from our Estuarine Sanctuary waters.

During this volunteer event, you’ll be able to help our River Project team count and categorize marine debris, removing plastic pollution from our local waterways.

The WasteShark will be out in the water helping us collect plastic debris during both of our upcoming cleanup events on HRPK’s Gansevoort Peninsula.
