U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Classes

Suddenly in Command

What would you do if your skipper is incapacitated?

This 90-minute course is taught by a certified instructor of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and is offered free of charge. Advance registration is required; to attend, contact Terry Wasserman at the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

For those who are not normally at the helm but may find themselves there, this short boating safety introduction course is for you. It’s designed so you will be ready in case the skipper becomes ill, gets injured or falls overboard. It will give you the basics to prepare for an emergency, minimize mishaps and how to call for help.
