Join us for some nature-inspired fun this week with a series of events hosted by WNYC and Radiolab’s family-friendly podcast Terrestrials.
On Wednesday, August 6 and Thursday, August 7, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Little Island will transform into a wonderland of curiosity, creativity, and critters. With Terrestrials as your gentle guides, kids will sing, crawl, buzz, and bloom through a choose-your-own-adventure-style experience celebrating the NYC wildlife of the land, sea and air surrounding us.
Families can enjoy interactive stations during this event including:
- Music and movement sessions with Terrestrials host Lulu Miller and “songbud” Alan Goffinski
- A nature scavenger hunt
- Live specimen station with wildlife educators from Hudson River Park and Terrestrials producer, Ana González
- Terrestrials swag bags for the first 75 kids to complete the scavenger hunt
