Hudson River Park Friends Gala

On Thursday, October 13, the Hudson River Park Friends Gala celebrated Hudson River Park and all that this green and blue oasis means to our community and all of New York City. Because of the generosity of dedicated Park supporters, we were able to raise more than $2.6 million to keep the Park beautiful, green and growing for all to enjoy.

The evening began with cocktails at Pier Sixty with stunning views of the Hudson River, featuring a live performance by the Marching Cobras and freshly shucked oysters provided by Grand Banks.

Host Michelle Collins kicked off an evening full of laughter, music and appreciation for the outstanding recreational, cultural and environmental resource the Park provides New York City, as well as the exciting growth ahead.

The evening’s celebration honored Hudson Yards, a partnership of Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group, and Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson, and Friends presented the Chair’s Leadership Award to Michael E. Novogratz. Closing out the evening, a powerhouse performance by Mavis Staples got the crowd on its feet and ensured this year’s Gala was a night to remember.

Led by Harry Santa-Olalla, an exciting live auction invited bidders to compete for fabulous lots — all contributing to the HRPK 550 Fund: Care for Every Acre, which supports the Park’s landscapes and gardens, education and estuary research, environmental sustainability and free public programming and events.

Thank you to our sponsors and supporters and all who attended and contributed to making the 2022 Gala a momentous success. Your generosity and dedication help ensure that Hudson River Park will continue to thrive, grow and enhance the lives of New Yorkers.
