Greg Wasserman

Head of Climate Innovation Fund, Wellington Management

Greg is Head of Climate Innovation Fund at Wellington Management.

Prior to this, he was Head of Venture at Galaxy Digital Ventures where he co-headed Galaxy’s venture team, making investments across the blockchain and crypto ecosystem.

Previously Greg was a Partner at Generation Investment Management, where he focused on making venture and growth investments in companies transforming industries with innovative and more sustainable solutions.  He has invested in disruptive industry leaders such as Nest Labs, DocuSign, Toast, Motivate (owner/operator of Citi Bike), M-KOPA Solar, and others.

Prior to Generation, Greg led the Clinton Foundation’s global solar program where he worked with the governments of India, Australia, and South Africa to develop large-scale solar programs.  Before that, he spent eight years at Goldman Sachs in the Special Situations Group, where he was Vice President in the Alternative Energy Investing business.

Greg graduated from The George Washington University with a BBA in finance, and was awarded the CFA charter.  He co-chaired the successful Hudson River Park Friends capital campaign to raise $2.5 million to renovate the play area at Chelsea Waterside Park.

Greg lives in West Chelsea with his wife and two young children, after having lived in London for five years.  They are avid users of the running paths, fields and playgrounds in Hudson River Park.
