Shari Hyman

Director of Government Affairs and External Relations, Turner Construction

Shari is currently the Director of Government Affairs and External Relations for Turner Construction. Immediately prior, she served as Vice President of Westfield World Trade Center for Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW), where she managed stakeholder and community relationships as well as business operations for the over 255,000 sq feet of event and retail space in the iconic Oculus.

Prior to joining URW, Shari was the President and Chief Operating Officer of the Battery Park City Authority – a NYS public benefit corporation responsible for the development, community programming and operations of Battery Park City’s 92 acres, including 36 acres of parkland.

From 2004-2014, Shari held various senior level positions in New York City government including: Commissioner of the NYC Business Integrity Commission, Chief of Staff to the Deputy Mayor for Operations, First Deputy Criminal Justice Coordinator and Director of the Mayor’s Office of Special Enforcement. Shari began her career as a prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. Shari holds a JD from Northwestern University and a BA from Columbia University.
