Bringing a much-needed play space to Hell’s Kitchen, this 6,875-square-foot playground includes a “Ship Hull” area with an oversized steering wheel and a Splash Pad that is divided into two areas, with one for toddlers and the other for older children.

Younger children can explore, imagine and connect in the sand play area featuring a slide, sand diggers and bouncy shark rockers. There’s also a see-saw, percussion instruments and a variety of games and activities.

At over 30 feet tall, the tower rope climber with slide provides exciting play opportunities for children 5-12 years old. The manufacturer, Berliner, designs their equipment with an “All Abilities” approach to accessibility with a more holistic approach of promoting child development.

The Pier 97 playground offers a safe space to be bold, creative and active. Each of Hudson River Park’s five playgrounds have been custom-designed by celebrated landscape architects to provide uniquely inspiring play opportunities for children.
