Virtual Girls in Science and Engineering Day

Join our River Project team virtually at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum’s annual Girls in Science & Engineering Day on March 6! The event will join several science-based organizations to celebrate women in science and invite students to explore STEM-focused topics that expand the mind and spark curiosity about the physical world around us!

The event will kick off with a live conversation with molecular biologist and science communicator, Raven Baxter, followed by various special sessions. Hudson River Park’s River Project will be hosting a session with a live, interactive presentation of the Hudson River Estuary’s unique biodiversity called, “Our Living Estuary” starting at 12:30 PM. Participants will watch how fish ecology and water quality monitoring research takes place and get a chance to ask experts their questions.
