Danielle Jennings

Managing Director, Head Colleague & Client Services and HQ Site President, Citi

What is your primary role at your company?

I am Head of Colleague and Client Services (CCS) which is part of Enterprise Services and Public Affairs at Citi. CCS strategically delivers services and experiences that enhance how our clients, colleagues and alumni perceive Citi. The team  is comprised of the Alumni Network, Center for Culture, Global Event Marketing and Global Hospitality Services.

I also serve as Citi’s Global HQ Site President. In this role, I ensure our Headquarters fully supports our clients, colleagues and the community we serve. This is accomplished by working closely with colleagues across the organization, especially Real Estate Services, to set standards, boost collaboration and productivity, drive sustainability and ensure strong communications and safety across the site.

What drives you to be involved with Hudson River Park?

Our HQ building is located across the street from the park (Piers 25 and 26). This proximity is a key element in making our HQ a great place to work. I’ve also always believed in the power of thoughtful community engagement and sustainable urban development, and this park embodies both. It’s a place that brings people together through recreation, culture and accessibility while also championing environmental stewardship. I’m excited to support its mission to keep our waterfront vibrant, sustainable and welcoming for everyone.

How does your company foster community engagement or social responsibility, and how does Hudson River Park fit into those efforts?

At Citi, we believe in giving back to the communities where we live and work. Our Community Investing and Development team drives this by expanding financial inclusion, supporting small businesses, and responding to local challenges — all through a mix of our business expertise, philanthropy and volunteerism.

One of the traditions we are most proud of is our Global Community Day (GCD), an annual program where employee volunteers give back to their communities. In 2025, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of GCD. Across 80+ countries, 45,000+ volunteers — including colleagues, alumni, family, and friends — came together for 900+ events, contributing over 114,000 hours of service.

Hudson River Park is a natural extension of this commitment. It’s a space that brings people together, champions sustainability, and strengthens our city’s communities — all values we share and are eager to support.

Have you had the chance to volunteer at Hudson River Park, and if so what was your experience like?

Yes. For the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of leading a Global Community Day project at Hudson River Park, involving over 75 dedicated employees. During these initiatives, our team collectively removed 10 cubic yards of weeds and debris, distributed 2 cubic yards of mulch, and cleared approximately 300 square feet of boardwalk. This experience was incredibly rewarding, offering a tangible way to contribute to our community while witnessing firsthand the remarkable teamwork and meticulous care required to maintain the vibrancy of the waterfront.

Is there anything else you would like to highlight about your company, your personal involvement, or any upcoming projects you’d like to promote?

With roots in Lower Manhattan since 1812, Citi has been an integral part of the Tribeca community since 1998. In addition to our partnership with Hudson River Park, we are committed to supporting local organizations, including our long-standing sponsorship of the Taste of Tribeca Food Festival, which directs proceeds to benefit local public schools. Our ongoing partnership with the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) includes robust volunteer engagement in their small business/entrepreneur program, where Citi colleagues actively participate in career panels and judge pitch competitions. It’s all about helping our community grow and thrive together!

What aspect of working with HRPK Friends on the Business Council is the most rewarding for you?

As a founding member of the Business Council with Hudson River Park Friends, established in 2022, it has been incredibly rewarding. Collaborating with fellow members, community partners and staff has shown me just how much dedication goes into supporting a space like this. What I find most meaningful is seeing the real, lasting impact our collective efforts have on the park and the community.
