Nick Casal

Founder & CEO, REMAP

What is your primary role at your company?

I am the Founder & CEO of REMAP, a real estate development platform dedicated to creating transformative urban projects that shape the future of cities.

What drives you to be involved with Hudson River Park?

My deep professional passion is urban place-making, and I see Hudson River Park as one of New York’s greatest public assets: an extraordinary park that provides miles of public green space along the Hudson. On a personal level, when I was living and working on the West Side with very young children, the Park gave us a vital place to breathe, play, and connect with nature just steps from home and office. That blend of professional inspiration and personal experience makes supporting the Park especially meaningful to me.

Can you share any sustainability initiatives currently running at your company?

At REMAP, we are actively deploying zero-emissions mobility infrastructure and real estate projects with net-zero energy goals.

How does your company foster community engagement or social responsibility, and how does Hudson River Park fit into those efforts?

We believe real estate shouldn’t just be about buildings; it should be about people. Guided by that principle, we design projects in open dialogue with communities to create lasting value and shared benefit. Hudson River Park embodies this vision by providing essential public space, education, and access to the waterfront, and it stands as a model of the inclusive and resilient urban future we strive to shape.

What aspect of working with HRPK Friends on the Business Council is the most rewarding for you?

The most rewarding part is the opportunity to collaborate with diverse stakeholders who care deeply about New York’s future.
