Our InsPIERational Stories

Hear from the HRPK Community

Since 1998, our community has helped turn the west side piers from what were once rickety, forlorn structures into sustainable spaces for millions of New Yorkers and global visitors to enjoy.

As we fight PIER Pressure, we invite all of our supporters to share with us their insPIERational thoughts and tell us which pier or green space in HRPK inspires you the most. Follow our neighborhood-by-neighborhood impact on our digital Park map, at the top of this page, and see what your neighbors and community love about our Park!

Our community neighborhood map will be updated weekly, so keep checking to see which neighborhood and Piers are feeling the most loved. Donate here to support your neighborhood Park and your most loved pier or Park space.

All of the piers and all of Hudson River Park!

I’ve lived in the city since 1997 and witnessed and have benefited from the incredible hard work the Hudson River Park has done. The piers are my favorite places in the city. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to make NYC such a livable city.”

“One of my favorite things about Hudson River Park is the way the noise of the city falls away as you head west along the piers. I think Piers 62, 63 and 64, so green and lush, are a special example of this. Picnicking on the western lawns on Pier 64 on a beautiful summer evening is PIER bliss!”
