Show Essential Support

Hudson River Park is here for you. Please be there for us!

Nonprofits are facing severe demands, now and in the coming months. Hudson River Park Friends continues to keep our donors informed that the Park remains open to the public during this time when our community needs it most; nevertheless, all of Friends’ fundraising events this spring have been cancelled.

As you may know, by law Hudson River Park is financially self-sustaining – relying on private funding for its annual operations, maintenance and programs. As the Park’s fundraising partner, Hudson River Park Friends:

  • supports the Park’s educational, cultural, horticultural and sustainability programs
  • encourages environmental stewardship through volunteerism
  • creates new public amenities via capital fundraising
  • advocates for the Park’s ongoing development and completion

Your generous support has kept the Park beautiful, safe, clean, green and growing. During this challenging time, when the Park provides an essential outlet for stressed New Yorkers to maintain their emotional and physical health, we want you to know that you make this possible.

Now, however, Hudson River Park Friends needs your direct assistance.

To continue our vital work, Friends is asking our dedicated community to provide our organization with emergency operating support. Without such support, Friends will face challenges down the road that may be too severe to overcome.

All of us here at HRPK Friends are thinking of our neighbors and their families during these difficult days, and we hope that the Park’s fresh air, natural beauty and respite have helped you weather this storm.
