Hudson River Park Gala Frequently Asked Questions

I want to support the Gala, but won’t be able to attend on October 8. How can I make a donation?

We’ll miss you! Thank you for your enduring support of Hudson River Park. To make your donation to the Gala, please visit our dedicated web page for the event and select the level you would like to donate.

Funds raised in support of the Gala are essential to keep Hudson River Park beautiful, safe, green and clean for its millions of visitors each year.

What happens if the event is rescheduled?

Should the Hudson River Park Gala need to be rescheduled, Friends will share a new date and updated details as soon as possible. Inclement weather or other factors won’t prevent us from gathering and celebrating Hudson River Park when we are able to do so!

How will guests be able to socially distance during the event?

In order to maintain safe distancing measures without compromising the celebration, we have drastically reduced the guest count for this year’s event. With half the number of attendees in three times the amount of space over previous galas — and set outdoors — we will all be able to enjoy the splendor of Hudson River Park in the open air among friends and fellow supporters while ensuring the safety of the event’s guests.

Will dinner be served at the Gala?

This year’s Gala will be anything but typical! Renowned for her creativity and execution, Abigail Kirsch will provide her trademark level of service and delicious offerings, though not in a traditional “sit-down” format. As an innovator and leader in the catering industry, the health and safety of our guests is of utmost importance to the Abigail Kirsch team.
