For a broad range of boating activities and great views, visit Pier 66. Learn to sail with Hudson River Community Sailing or try your hand at outrigger paddling for a taste of the South Pacific. The boathouse at Pier 66 is one of four built by the Park to promote direct river access and recreation.
At the western end of the pier, visitors will discover Long Time, a water wheel that expresses the beauty and power of the majestic Hudson River while harkening back to its history. In the words of its artists, Paul Ramirez-Jonas, Long Time is “an unpredictable timepiece powered by the river and sometimes the winds.” The wheel is constructed of stainless steel and has a diameter of 26 feet.
