Photo-Synthesis Winner Spotlights Winter Waterfront

From frosty Nor’easters to a February heatwave, this winter brought multifaceted beauty (and bluster!) to our four miles of riverfront, and Park-goers on Instagram documented it all. Our winter Photo-Synthesis entries featured well-bundled Park adventurers, snowy pier-scapes and, of course, Park-loving pups enjoying their playtime no matter the weather.

What we love most about our winning entry by Instagram user @ytztyw is the way it captures the excitement of a truly beautiful winter evening—when Park fans flock to our piers to seize the early promise of spring and enjoy the wide-open riverfront air our Park offers in enticing abundance.

The composition offers a unique perspective on Pier 45’s shade structures offering an unusual filter for a spectacular sky. Even winter’s presence here is subtle—bare branches reaching skyward at the edge of the pier as Park visitors chase a stunning sunset. Congrats, @ytztyw!
