SUBMERGE Marine Science Festival – celebrates NYC’s coastal waters by bringing marine science to life. This day of interactive science at Hudson River Park’s Pier 84 invites the public to experience awesome experiments, kid-approved science entertainment, catch & release fishing, kayaking and more!
Hudson River Park’s Estuary Lab is committed to advancing public awareness and understanding of our local waterways. At SUBMERGE, dozens of organizations that further this mission will share their work. The SUBMERGE festival aims to inspire audiences of all ages and make marine science and STEM accessible and engaging for everyone.
Hudson River Park's Estuary Lab
The Estuary Lab offers hands-on education and interactive scientific research with the purpose of communicating the ecological importance of the Park’s 400-acre estuarine sanctuary. Through the Estuary Lab’s parkwide programs, visitors are invited to experience the River as a living laboratory for community engagement and stewardship.
About Hudson River Park
Hudson River Park is a 550-acre park and estuarine sanctuary from Chambers Street to W 59th Street in Manhattan. It includes four miles of waterside esplanade, 16 reconstructed public piers to date, four dedicated boat houses for sailing, rowing and paddling, and numerous other places to play, learn and relax.
