With plenty of summertime still ahead, our concert season is heating up, and we don’t want you to miss a beat. Discover the series bringing all types of music to your west side backyard (and keep your calendars handy!).

Symphonic Sunsets

Our Sunset on the Hudson series is back and bringing a wider variety of music than ever. Historic Hudson River Park’s Pier 45 welcomes back series favorites Koku Gonza, whose sound fuses electronic reggae and dancehall drum loops, and The Big Takeover and their Hudson Valley reggae.

One of the newest performers to our long running series is the Queer Urban Orchestra. Founded in 2009, QUO was the first orchestra in NYC specifically serving the LGBTQIA+ community. We’re thrilled to have the community orchestra will bring a classical performance to the pier.

HRPK’S Blues BBQ Festival is back in the Park and better than ever! The free, day-long festival brings together unforgettable music and BBQ on one of our newest piers. Ready to fall in love with this year’s roster of Blues artists?

Our 2022 festival features Dwayne Dopsie & The Zydeco Hellraisers, a high-energy zydeco player infusing the instrument with new levels of blues, soul and funk. We look forward to a set from Jackie Venson, an Austin based multi-instrumentalist known for her complexly beautiful music and wicked guitar solos. Walter “Wolfman” Washington, an artist whose thrilling vocals and guitar have been shaping the New Orleans music scene since the 1960s, will take the stage, as will Bette Smith, an acclaimed Brooklyn musician whose music takes influence from gospel and soul. Don Bryant, the Tennessean soul legend whose songwriting only comes second to his vocal prowess, completes a spectacular line-up.

Jazzing up Wednesday Evenings

This year’s line-up features Valery “Messenger” Ponomarev Quintet, a legendary trumpeter who brings hard bop, well known for his four years with Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers. And don’t miss the final performer of the season, Monnette Sudler, an unforgettable Philadelphia-born jazz guitarist, composer, vocalist and recording artist whose music reflects her diverse exposure and love of varied genres.
