Stroll over to Clinton Cove to see Broadway stars perform on the waterfront!

When Broadway’s dark, the waterfront is alive! Mondays from July 13 to August 10, stop by Hudson River Park’s Clinton Cove to see the greats perform. Broadway by the Boardwalk will feature theater’s stars performing for free.

New this year, each performance will begin with Stepping into the Spotlight, an exciting new showcase featuring Broadway’s next generation of stars. This special opening act will feature understudies from current Broadway productions and shine a light on the remarkable talent waiting in the wings. It’s a rare chance to see tomorrow’s Broadway stars today.

About the Performers

Ali Louis Bourzgui

Ali Louis Bourzgui is a 2026 Tony Award winner for featured actor in a musical for his incredible performance as David in The Lost Boys as well as a nomination for the Outer Critics Circle (his third in a row) and a Drama League Award (his second).

Prior to The Lost Boys, Ali played the starring role as Tommy in the Tony Award nominated Broadway revival of The Who’s Tommy, where he made his Broadway debut to critical acclaim and won a Theatre World Award, a Jeff Award (Performer in a Leading Role), and nominations for Outer Critics Circle and a Drama League Award awards for the role. Ali was also nominated for an Outer Critics Circle Award for We Live in Cairo at the NYTW and most recently starred on Broadway as Orpheus in the Tony Award winning Best Musical, Hadestown.

Beyond acting, Ali is a musician and writer and this past year released his debut original album, Becomes A Home, with his band, Resident Lightweight. He is a proud son of a Moroccan immigrant and is actively working to increase representation in the media and the arts.

Stepping into the Spotlight: Savy Jackson from Maybe Happy Ending

Savy Jackson is currently standing by for the lead role of ‘Claire’ in the Tony-winning Best Musical Maybe Happy Ending directed by Michael Arden. Savy made her Broadway debut performing the titular role of ‘Cinderella’ in Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Bad Cinderella (d. Laurence Connor) every Sunday during the show’s Broadway run. She was last seen starring as ‘Aphrodite’ in the world premiere of the new musical Mythic (d. Kathleen Marshall) at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.

Savy recently originated the lead role of ‘La Rhette’ in the world premiere of the new musical Take the Lead (d. Christopher Gatelli) at the Paper Mill Playhouse. Savy starred as ‘Ariel’ in The Little Mermaid (d. John Tartaglia) and ‘Alana’ in Dear Evan Hansen (d. Rob Ruggerio) at the MUNY. Savy played ‘Dorothy’ in The Wizard of Oz at the Geva Theatre (d. Zi Alikhan) and the leading role of ‘Marian’ in Asolo Rep’s production of the new musical Hood (d. Mark Brokaw). Savy can be seen in a supporting role in the HBO Max feature Sweethearts opposite Kiernan Shipka.
