Dance Is Life returns to Hudson River Park’s Pier 76 Monday, September 18 for its Season Finale!

Co-hosts and co-founders Natasha Diggs and Abdiel have some special surprises, for a not-to-be missed, end-of-summer celebration. Bring your dancing shoes, roller skates, and your fabulous selves—the party starts at 5pm, rain or shine!

The multi-talented actor, comedian, screenwriter and DJ Deon Cole will be joining Natasha Diggs on the decks as guest DJ and will be bringing the Chicago sound that his hometown is known for.

Dance Is Life is a free communitarian dance party for the public, encouraging freedom of self-expression and human connection through shared joy and movement. Partner dancing is encouraged, particularly “Hustle,” in an effort to preserve the dance. Also known as “Latin Hustle,” it is a Mambo-derived street and club dance that originated in the South Bronx in the early 1970s by predominantly Puerto Rican and Black teenagers—later becoming associated as a ballroom dance—where any gender can dance the roles of lead and follow. However, all dance styles and levels are welcome, as well as all ages and backgrounds!
