Join us Saturday, May 4 at Gansevoort Peninsula for a boating & water safety event featuring our on the water partners, demonstrations and introductory boating safety and education.
From 11:00 AM–12:00 PM, be sure to check out Gulp, our resident WasteShark, in action collecting floating debris from the River. Visit our Blue Team to learn more about plastic pollution impacts and ongoing Park research.
From 12:00–1:00 PM, there will be tabling on how to kayak in the Hudson River—entering safely, the importance of water safety and how to implement. The Coast Guard will have two educators on-site to give talks and more family fun!
