Meryl Levin is the mother of three school-aged children and has lived in Greenwich Village for nearly 20 years. Professionally, Meryl worked as a writer and editor in the magazine industry, holding editorial positions at lifestyle publications at Conde Nast, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, and Daily Candy, among other outlets.

Meryl serves on the Board of Trustees of Village Community School, a K-8 independent school on West 10th Street. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Yamba Malawi, a poverty graduation organization working with families living in extreme poverty in rural Africa. She has volunteered in recent years for Girl Scouts of America, The Parents League of New York, Greenwich Village Little League, and the Chelsea Community Fridge.

Meryl graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001.
