Lenke joined HRPK Friends as a Corporate and Community Engagement Associate in spring 2023 after volunteering with the organization in 2022. Lenke’s prior experience focused on Finance and Information Systems during her 22 year career with Colgate-Palmolive Company. Also, while at Colgate, she spearheaded the creation of and chaired the globally recognized Business Resource Group for People with Disabilities. That experience fueled her passion for giving back and her desire to be involved with the local community. Lenke brings her talent for building culture and connections to her new role in supporting Hudson River Park’s Corporate Partnerships, volunteer projects and in growing the organization’s Community Partners Program.
Lenke is originally from the Lilac city, Rochester, NY, where she graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. She relocated to Brooklyn with her late husband in 1997 to pursue their career ambitions and love for the big city lifestyle. She still lives in Brooklyn and enjoys all the city has to offer, including parks, dining out, concerts and the Mets.
