Boardwalk Blues, in partnership with Jazz Foundation of America, brings together blues and roots musicians from around the region to perform on Hudson River Park’s Pier 97.
About the Artist
Vocalist, songwriter, actress, producer, and radio host Beareather Reddy has, over a 40-year career, performed at The Cutting Room, Russian Samovar, Jazz 966, Terra Blues, The Jalopy, Brooklyn Historical Society, Port Townsend Acoustic Blues Festival, Blues to Bop Festival in Lugano, Switzerland and various other community events, festivals and fundraisers. She has worked with greats such as Archie Shepp, Max Roach, Abdullah Ibrahim, Sheila Jordan, Gerry Eastman, Stanley Banks, Slam Allen and the Alexis Suter Band. She has produced 12 successful editions of Brooklyn’s Big Eyed Blues Festival, has received the Woman of Distinction Award, and has been inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame.
