Everyone gets their moment in the spotlight this fall at Hudson River Park!
Rhapsody is KEIGWIN + COMPANY’s community-powered show that enlivens public parks and celebrates shared space, the joy of dance and the magic of gathering together to move, all with that signature Keigwin sparkle—featuring you alongside professional dancers. Everyone gets their moment in the spotlight in Hudson River Park’s Pier 84!
All are welcome. No previous dance experience required—just enthusiasm and energy. You’ll be guided through a playful choreographic process with Larry Keigwin and K+C dancers using games and guided improvisation to allow you to uncover your creativity and physicality. Find new ways of moving, dance alongside your neighbors, have the opportunity to perform as a part of Sundown Dances and have fun!
Participants do not need to attend the September 2 event to participate. Dancers can miss up to three rehearsals (dates listed below) but must be able to attend the dress rehearsal on October 3.
Rhapsody will harness the unique spirit and talents of its cast of performers to create a moving outdoor celebration of art-making and the joy of dance in a world premiere performance on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5.

What to Expect
You’ll be guided through a playful choreographic process with Artistic Director Larry Keigwin and K+C dancers using games and guided improvisation to allow you to uncover your creativity and physicality. Community cast members are committing to being a part of the creative process and world premiere performances, scheduled outlined below.

Costumes
For rehearsals, cast members are asked to wear clothes and shoes that they’re comfortable dancing and moving in.
For the performances, cast members will be guided to select items from their own wardrobe to wear, embellished by costume pieces from K+C.
