One day, five boroughs – New York City’s biggest dance party!
As part of the inaugural Festival of New York, The Joyce Theater and Hudson River Park are excited to present Pop-Up Performances of Black Grace in celebration of Dance Party NYC!
Dedicated to the rich storytelling traditions of the South Pacific, New Zealand-based Black Grace brings its distinct style of “exhilarating, seemingly inexhaustible energy” (The New York Times) back to the States. The company will perform excerpts from their Joyce Theater season, blending contemporary and Samoan dance styles in their dynamic works.
Join us on Saturday, August 6 at 2:00 PM for a series of pop-up performances at Hudson River Park’s Pier 64. Enter at W 24 St. with your friends and family for an afternoon of live dance!
