Get ready for the 12th annual Girls in Science and Engineering Day!
We’re pulling out all the stops in this milestone year to celebrate girls and youth involved in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math), particularly Aerospace.
This in-person event will feature hands-on experiences, exciting demonstrations and captivating discussions led by experts from Intrepid Museum, NASA, Hudson River Park, Women in Aviation, invited mentors, and more! Our River Project team will be on hand to help you discover local wildlife through the lens of a microscope.
Adult-chaperoned teens, youth or school groups, individuals and families of all ages and genders are welcome. Guests are encouraged to stay and explore the Museum throughout the day.
The event is free with advance registration.
About the Intrepid Museum
Located on Hudson River Park’s Pier 86, the Intrepid Museum was founded in 1982 with the acquisition of the USS Intrepid, a World War II aircraft carrier and a National Historic Landmark. Its mission is to promote the awareness and understanding of history, science and service through bold and immersive collections, exhibitions and programming in order to honor our heroes, educate the public and inspire future generations.
The Museum welcomes over one million visitors annually from all around the world, and through its after-school, professional development and STEM programs, the Museum educates and impacts more than 55,000 students each year.
