Healthy on the Hudson x IronStrength®: Barre and Yoga

Turning the Park’s most scenic spaces into riverfront gyms, Healthy on the Hudson offers a variety of fun, refreshing and free fitness classes led by NYC’s best trainers and spaces!

This season, we have special pop-up classes featuring renowned Sports Medicine Physician Dr. Jordan Metzl, from the Hospital for Special Surgery. His workout program, IronStrength®, will bring everything from dance, pilates, yoga, barre and HIIT to the Park this summer.

Classes are free and open to the public, all summer long. Check our event calendar for a full schedule of classes, plus yoga, HIIT and dance on select Mondays throughout the season!

About Dr. Metzl and IronStrength®

Dr. Jordan Metzl is a renowned Sports Medicine Physician at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City and Stamford, CT. In addition to his medical practice, Dr Metzl is pioneering a new connection between the worlds of fitness and medicine to actively engage patients in preventive health through activity by using his HIIT workout, IronStrength®.

IronStrength® has been performed by more than 12 million people globally and the IronStrength community fitness program provides free group fitness for thousands of people each year. This workout is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

  • Monday, June 17: Pier 25 at N Moore St.
  • Monday, July 22: Pier 46 at Charles St.
  • Monday, August 19: Pier 76 at W 34 St.
  • Monday, September 16: Pier 97 at W 57 St.

Participants are instructed to do mountain climbers, and exercise on your hands and feet and moving your legs forward and back
