This Park Tour is a part of the 2026 Jane’s Walk NYC festival. Learn more about other available walks on their website at janeswalk.org. Gansevoort Peninsula, which opened in 2023, is the largest stand-alone recreational space in Hudson River Park with its 5.5 acres of incredible public green space. From a sandy shoreline beach with tide pools to a pine grove, pile field and salt marsh, it is also one of the most fascinating sites to learn about local ecology.
During the Shoreline Stroll, you’ll have the chance to learn more about these dynamic ecosystems and the storied history of the Peninsula.
The tour will meet at the Gansevoort comfort station. We encourage guests to bring binoculars, wear comfortable walking shoes and to bring a hat and/or sunglasses.
