Environmental Education

Hudson River Park’s River Project helps increase appreciation and understanding of the Hudson River through hands-on environmental education programming. Programs inspire budding scientists of all ages – both young and old – to see the River and Park with new eyes as a living laboratory for STEM exploration.

STEM Activity Of the Week

Each year, thousands of students from all five boroughs of NYC participate in our environmental education field trips. Students assume the role of scientists as they investigate topics like oyster restoration, fish ecology, water quality, maritime history and more. To learn more about our programs, please visit the Field Trip program page.
