In recognition of our men and women in uniform, the Intrepid Museum celebrates Fleet Week from May 23–26, 2025!
Fleet Week activities will kick off Friday, May 23, with the Intrepid’s annual free movie night on the flight deck, featuring Top Gun.
Throughout the weekend, enjoy musical performances and explore a variety of displays, activities, and demos from the military, including the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard, Office of Naval Research and many more! The weekend will conclude on Monday, May 26, with the Museum’s annual Memorial Day ceremony.

Free Movie on the Flight Deck: Top Gun

The Intrepid Museum’s summer movie series kicks off Memorial Day Weekend, Friday, May 23, with a free screening of Top Gun! Enjoy breathtaking views of the Hudson River and city skyline while watching the classic film on the flight deck.
Guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs, picnic baskets and blankets to enjoy the movie outdoors, free of charge, on a giant inflatable screen. Seating is first-come, first-served, and space is limited. Light concessions will be available for purchase. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Please note: Alcohol is NOT permitted. All exits are final; there is no re-entry allowed. Doors open at 6:00 PM and close at 8:30 PM (or when capacity is reached). The movie will begin at sunset. Member Exclusive: Cat Shot Café and Summer Movie Night
