MASterworks Conversations: Pier 57

Park Tours

Come celebrate and learn about Hudson River Park’s Pier 57 with the Municipal Art Society of New York.

The Municipal Art Society of New York (MAS) lifts up the voices of the people in the debates that shape New York’s built environment and leads the way toward a more livable city from sidewalk to skyline.

MAS envisions a future in which all New Yorkers share in the richness of city life—where growth is balanced, character endures, and a resilient future is secured. Join Hudson River Park Trust President and CEO, Noreen Doyle, at a virtual conversation in celebration of Pier 57, a 2024 MASterworks winner for Best Adaptive Reuse.

Pier 57’s captivating past—and its exciting future—tell an important story about the legacy of innovation on our west side waterfront. The Pier wins Best Adaptive Reuse, for a project that illustrates extraordinary versatility in the different uses of space for the public in adaptive reuse of an historic terminal (Project Team, Handel Architects, Higgins Quasebarth & Partners, and Building Conservation Associates).

Noreen will be joined by team members from Higgins Quasebarth & Partners and RXR, to discuss how the project came to be, in conversation with MAS President, Elizabeth Goldstein. The webinar is free to join.
