About the Kiki Coalition

The Kiki Coalition is a collaborative of non-profit organizations, dedicated to improving the well-being of LGBTQ youth in the New York City House & Kiki Ball communities. These communities, while facing a number of challenges, are also thriving and vital parts of the LGBTQ fabric of the city.

The Kiki Coalition sees positive youth development as a foundation for building upon the resilience, talent, and empowerment of LGBTQ youth to be stewards of not only their own personal life trajectories, but also the wellbeing of the communities they are from. We see a world without structural and social inequalities that impact the health and wellbeing of LGBTQ youth. This will be achieved by invigorating the Kiki community and empowering its members to live proudly with themselves and be able to make a lasting difference in the world.
