More About The Park

Hudson River Park was created by a New York State law as a partnership between New York State and New York City. The same law created the Hudson River Park Trust as a New York State public benefit corporation to design, construct, operate and maintain the Park, with Board Members appointed by the Governor, Mayor and Manhattan Borough President. Hudson River Park Friends is the Park’s independent nonprofit partner dedicated to fundraising, advocacy and supporting volunteerism in the Park. Funds raised by Friends support the care, enhancement, sustainability and public programs offered throughout the Park.
