Follow the sound of the booming drums and dance your way over to HRPK’s Pier 76 for Afro-Caribbean dance classes! After a successful first season in the Park, Batingua Arts is back, bringing energy and excitement to our waterfront each and every Tuesday.
This simultaneously traditional yet evolving, innovative African-Caribbean art celebrates cultural preservation with dance. Batingua Arts speaks to all audiences with a variety of art forms, from jazz and reggae to samba, spoken word and even acrobatics. These breathtaking NYC artists will electrify the audience with their high-energy, mesmerizing performances right on the Hudson River.
Join Batingua Arts instructors as they teach group lessons under the setting sun. Each outdoor class will be accompanied by live musicians; you don’t want to miss out on all fun!
Every Tuesday, dance the night away under the shimmering NYC lights and sensational HRPK skies — all while learning a new move or two! As always, make sure you register early (registration is not required) and follow our social channels for announcements of special guests and more.
