Free Boating Safety Classes with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary

Learn valuable boating safety skills with free classes led by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Classes will take place on Thursdays at the Pier 84 Boathouse, and you can explore the full schedule below.  All classes require registration in advance and are free of charge.

Navigsation Rules Lite
Learn the Navigation Rules, an internationally-adopted set of rules and regulations to aid mariners in safe navigation.

Suddenly in Command
Prepare for an emergency, minimize mishaps and learn how to call for help in the event that your skipper becomes incapaciated.

Knots and Lines
Secure all manner of things on a boat with the techniques for knots and lines used on Coast Guard patrols.

VHF Radio for Paddlers
