Hudson River Park’s sports fields are among the most in-demand in all of Manhattan and are open daily all year long. Leagues, schools and organized groups must have permits in order to play.
After school hours and early evening hours are reserved for leagues and schools serving children and typically have few vacancies. Permits for league pay are typically issued on a quarterly basis. The weekly schedule for each field provides additional insights on hours that are typically booked.
WEEKLY FIELD AVAILABILITY
Permits must be obtained prior to undertaking regulated activities as defined in the Park Rules and Regulations. Applications to conduct regulated activities or uses must be submitted at least twenty-one (21) days in advance of the planned event, activity or use.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A PERMIT
Organizations seeking permits must apply for each field individually on a quarterly basis pursuant to the following schedule. You CANNOT reserve a time slot for multiple seasons.
Teams, leagues and schools may only apply for one permit season at a time. Permits are not issued as renewals and consistent schedules are not guaranteed from season to season for previous permit holders. Submitting an application does not guarantee you will be granted field time.
“Open play” hours are only offered at the Pier 26 Sports Court. These timeframes are open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

SAFETY & SECURITY
Hudson River Park is a public setting. Do not leave your valuables unattended.
The Park provides pack racks and lockers for storage purposes. Any individual planning to use the lockers must bring their own lock. At the end of each permitted session, ALL items must be removed, and left free and clean for the next permit holder to use.
As a convenience for field users at Pier 40, the Park also permits storage bins along the southern perimeter of the Pier 40 Courtyard Fields for season-long permit users. Storage container space is limited and must be pre-approved. All storage containers must remain locked when not in use. General storage of items outside of your approved storage bin is strictly prohibited.
For non-emergencies, our 24/7 Park Enforcement Patrol (PEP) desk is available at 212-242-6427.
To report an emergency, please call 911.
PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT
Hudson River Park has proudly launched Park Over Plastic—a parkwide effort to reduce and ultimately eliminate single-use plastics throughout the Park. All leagues, teams and individuals are asked to bring refillable water bottles with them to the field to reduce plastics consumption.
