Business Council

Lead. Connect. Play. Learn. Support.

Industries and businesses, both large and small, along the west side of Manhattan are the backbone of our local community and significant to the experiences shared by those who visit, whether to live, work or play. With the corporate support of the Business Council, our west side community can continue to prosper as a coveted destination.

About the Business Council

OUR STORY

Parks became an increasingly essential resource for mental and physical health during the COVID crisis just as pandemic-related budget cuts devastated the very resources required to meet that new demand. Facing an urgent need to reinvent fundraising strategies and practices at a time of unparalleled challenges, HRPK Friends recognized that we needed to develop a complementary new concept to build out our Corporate Membership program while enhancing our ability to engage businesses and corporations in a new way.

VISION

The HRPK Friends Business Council is an equitable, diverse and dynamic group of leaders building community for employees, large corporations and small businesses as well as other local partners. It brings together opportunities for corporate engagement, volunteer work, community service and sustainable visibility for businesses playing a critical role in enhancing economic and social growth within Manhattan’s neighborhoods along the west side, especially to those entities nearest to Hudson River Park.

BENEFITS

The Park’s celebrated and architecturally recognized green spaces and treasured riverfront oasis draw millions of individuals from all walks of life year-round and offer a unique opportunity to generate meaningful economic and social engagement with the surrounding area. To achieve this, we have developed targeted programming and offerings for business partnerships, embracing goals that align with the ethos of our community.
