Hudson River Park’s River Project welcomed Business Council members to the Pier 57 classroom and Discovery Tank for a presentation about recent restoration accomplishments and opportunities, including expanding education programs and introducing over 30 million oysters to the river. Following the presentation BC members and guests gathered at City Winery for drinks and snacks.

Gallery: Member Volunteer Projects 2025
BlackRock volunteer groups continued their efforts throughout the Park collecting compostable debris, cleaning up the Gansevoort Peninsula shoreline and monitoring HRPK oysters, supporting the Park’s green and blue spaces.
Blackstone volunteers returned to support multiple neighborhoods in the Park so everyone can enjoy HRPK’s gardens and green spaces.
Brookfield volunteer groups took part in horticulture projects in Tribeca, beautifying the waterfront green space for all Park patrons.
Presenting Sponsor of the Volunteer Program, Citi, made a huge impact throughout HRPK in June during their Global Community Day, taking care of the backyard to their headquarters in Tribeca.
ConEd volunteers joined multiple Green Team projects to pitch in on Saturdays alongside fellow Park volunteers.
Disney participated in a spring horticulture cleanup of their new neighborhood, Hudson Square, preparing this area for a full season of enjoyment for Park visitors.
Goldman Sachs volunteers came out in force taking care of open spaces all across the Park’s four miles over the course of many volunteer projects.
Google volunteers focused on cleaning up the bikeway beds and buffer to keep the spaces outside their new offices at St. John’s Terminal looking good in the middle of the summer.
KMPG volunteers took to the Habitat Garden for a summer cleaning of weeds and debris, all of which will be redistributed as compost throughout HRPK’s four+ miles of green space.
L‘Oréal sent two teams to support the Habitat Garden’s native species in late June, when weeds and invasive species are growing their fastest.
Match Group volunteers supported HRPK in multiple projects,including supporting the Park’s River Project with our very first Oyster Stewardship project, monitoring the health of oysters on submerged reef balls.
Pfizer helped out HRPK’s horticulture team near their Hudson Yards office in an effort to keep HRPK looking it’s best.
For Earth Day, two large teams from Related helped HRPK’s horticulture team get a jump on maitaing spring weeds throughout the 2.5 acres of the Habitat Garden.
Turner employees and interns joined in mid-August to help support the Tribeca Boardwalk at a time when this area needed extra support in the summer heat.
Warburg Pincus volunteers helped weed and compost Park gardens to help native plants thrive going into the summer season.

Blackstone made significant contributions throughout the Park, supporting areas from Chelsea down to Tribeca.
Brookfield continued their tradition of cleaning up the Hudson River with a shoreline cleanup in the middle of summer at HRPK’s Gansevoort Peninsula.
ConEdison joined us this fall for a shoreline cleanup and demonstration of our WasteShark, and in the spring, they joined us to help clean up the Chelsea section of HRPK for New York State’s annual I Love My Park Day.
As Presenting Sponsor of the Volunteer Program, Citi teams worked throughout Tribeca in June to make sure the Park is in its best condition for the busiest season of the year.
IAC kicked off our bulbing season in late October by planting over 1,000 tulips and daffodils throughout the plaza in front of Little Island.
KPMG employees participated in a project and team lunch in August at HRPK’s Habitat Garden, a time in the year when the horticulture team needs as many hands as possible.
L’Oréal continued their longstanding tradition of hosting multiple teams in HRPK on their annual L’Oréal Gives Back Day; helping to care for HRPK’s bikeway and esplanade.
In one of the first volunteer efforts at Gansevoort Peninsula, MatchGroup’s employees participated in a horticulture volunteer project, focused on spring cleanup.
Pfizer volunteers spread their efforts across the spring and fall seasons, putting their best foot forward to help take care of areas in Chelsea, near their Hudson Yards office.
Multiple Related teams joined for one of their biggest initiatives in HRPK’s gardens; executives and general staff worked alongside each other to clean up a large footprint of the Park.
Specialty Lending Company employees worked alongside horticulture staff in the West Village.
Employees of Turner Construction helped HRPK staff on various projects; caring for gardens, painting in the Compost Center and constructing compost screens to be used by future volunteers.

L’Oreal USA volunteers pulled weeds and spread mulch in the Habitat Garden in the Chelsea area of HRPK.

Match Group volunteers cleaned up the Chelsea bikeway buffer and installed new plantings during a spring project.

A small but mighty group from Related helped out in the HRPK Compost Center near Hudson Yards.

Turner Construction volunteers painted the walls, brightening the Pier 40 tunnel in the West Village.
