The fun and excitement of a birthday party plays an important and meaningful part in our children’s lives. HRPK wants to help its young visitors celebrate their special days, while giving the gift of celebration to all children. Please join us is promoting a carousel birthday party in Hudson River Park via Instagram. Your support will create a memorable birthday moment for your child and a child in need.
To start an Instagram fundraiser, simply follow these steps:
1. Tap “Edit Profile”, “Add Fundraiser” and then “Raise Money”
2. Choose a photo, select a fundraiser category and add details to help tell your Park story and encourage your friends to donate
3. Enter business information for Stripe
4. Tap “Send” for review
5. Once approved, you can start raising money! Each fundraiser lasts 30 days and can be extended
To start a Facebook fundraiser, simply follow these steps:
1. Visit https://www.facebook.com/fundraisers/ or click “Fundraisers” in the left menu of your News Feed
2. Click “Raise Money”
3. Click “Nonprofit”
4. Search for and select “Hudson River Park”
5. Choose a cover photo and fill in the Fundraiser details. You can decide how long the fundraiser runs for
6. Click “Create”
In recognition of your participation, you’ll receive vouchers for your child to enjoy carousel rides and ice cream on their birthday. HRPK Friends has partnered with Hudson Guild to provide this experience to children in need throughout New York City, making your support of this initiative all the more impactful for a child whose birthday might otherwise go uncelebrated.
Your support of a carousel birthday helps further the mission of the Playground Committee in funding the important work HRPK does for children and families, specifically maintaining the operations and ongoing maintenance of the Park’s play areas, sports fields as well as providing environmental education and free family programming. HRPK provides many opportunities for hands-on learning and outdoor play, all while keeping the Park safe, clean, and vibrant.
